Flake ice is mainly used:

At Friostar we design and build high efficiency, continuous production plants that do not require defrosting. This guarantees that 100% of the incoming water is transformed into ice.
The resulting product can be:
- granular ice, irregularly shaped and measuring 10x5x10mm, mainly used in the preparation of ice beds
- drawn granular ice, with less than 10% residual water, mainly used in the Ho.Re.Ca sector
- flat flake ice subcooled to -7 °C, mainly used in the fishery sector
The systems can also be installed inside a 20′ or 40′ ISO Container, with the following advantages:
- They are ready to use (only to be connected to water and electrical system)
